What happens when I take a day off:
1. The laundry does not get done.
2. The bed does get made, and the dishwasher gets emptied. Some things one has to do.
3. I spend a little cash on "play."
4. I don't eat a real lunch.
5. My writing does not get written.
6. Dinner is created from leftovers.
7. My cellphone goes unnoticed for hours.
8. The PC is never turned on.
9. I put a few miles on the car that normally sits in the garage.
10. I don't speak to my husband for a long period of time.
11. Breaking news doesn't break for me until hours after it's happened. (I didn't need to know it right away anyhow.)
12. I take a second shower to get the "out of the house" germs off of me.
13. My heart lightens up for a few hours.
It sounds like you had fun!
ReplyDeleteMy son used to call those "garfield days." Every day is like a day off for me these days.
ReplyDeleteI do love to do laundry on work days. Just a load a day. Then, on the day off, you don't have to do the chores as they got done on the work days. I hope you had a lovely day off.
ReplyDelete#11: I was necessarily away from the TV when Trump was arraigned and you're right, it happened anyway!
ReplyDeleteThough it wasn't something that happened for me, You going to a chiropractor and coming home feeling better is all aces! Trump was arraigned? Well, he wanted the trial to be over before the campaigning starts and I hope he's happy. Lol. I can't wait to see him wearing Orange, like his hair.
