Five Things

Five things I did last week -

1. Walked a total of 170 minutes on the treadmill. This may not sound like much - but if one understands that after 25 minutes of walking, I am bent over double with pain caused by adhesions in my abdominal area, one hopefully understands that this is a big deal. (I doubt there are computer algorithms that take such things into account.)

2. I received my pneumonia shot.

3. Cooked a pork roast for my husband that turned out to be too tough to eat. For some reason, I cannot get pork to cook properly anymore. It hasn't cooked well since the pandemic. My husband says it is the way they are cutting the meat now.

4. I received a haircut.

5. We went to dinner Saturday night.

  1. Ask the butcher what the best meat for a roast. We don't buy pork anymore cause my hubby can't eat it. I want to get a crockpot to cook a roast. I used to cook it in an oven before we had crockpots. Where did you go to dinner? What did you have? We are going to Chilis tomorrow. Have a great week!

    1. We went to Cracker Barrel and I had a vegetable plate with carrots, potatoes, green beans, and fried applies.

  2. Did you have a reaction to the pneumonia shot? I had a marble-sized lump for almost a week after mine.

    1. I did not have any reaction to the shot at all. I think it depends on who gives it to you.

  3. You need to check the temperature of your crock pot. Sounds like it is too hot. Dry's it out from over cooking. Internal temp of done is only 145 degrees. Odds are it is getting way too hot too fast.
