Thursday Thirteen #425

CountryDew's 13 days of Christmas . . . (so far)

Day 1: Send out Christmas cards. Make a list of friends and relatives to buy for.

Day 2: Determine what to buy them.

Day 3: Order most of it online.

Day 4: Make a grocery list for cooking.

Day 5: Go to the market for chocolate chips, sugar, flour, marshmallow crème, etc.

Day 6: Get the first of the packages.

Day 7: Buy a new artificial "pencil" tree. Decorate the house!

Day 8: Go back to the market for the things I forgot the first time.

Day 9: Wrap up all the presents. Wonder what happened to the things that you're missing.

Day 10: Go to the church cantata. Sing some Christmas carols.

Day 11: Tell a friend you love them. Purchase some other presents.

Day 12: Go back to the market for more ingredients. Finally! Start to cook!

Day 13:  More wrapping, more cooking, and Thursday 13! And another week to go!

_____________

Thursday Thirteen is played by lots of people; there is a list
here if you want to read other Thursday Thirteens and/or play along. I've been playing for a while and this is my 425th time to do a list of 13 on a Thursday.

  1. Mine is more random with hardly a checking it twice list. I woke up tense about the ticking clock though.

  2. At least you get all the ingredients lined up before starting to cook. There's nothing worse than having the eggs already in the cookies when you realize there's no baking soda or baking powder in the house.

Actually, I keep a food storage program running in my basement. When I run out of something, it's usually a matter of braving the rickety steps and spider webs to go get more. But that's enough to send me off to the store instead sometimes.

  3. # 8 happens to me every week. No matter how thorough of a list I make, there is always an item or two I FORGOT, or HE FORGOT to put on the list. Old age perhaps?

  4. I am so far behind this year it isn't funny. I've worked a lot of extra hours the last couple weeks with the holidays. Rather ironic that I now work at a craft store, and have had zero time for crafting. I'm hoping to do some major catch-up tonight and Sunday. I can dream, right? :-\ My T13

  5. Love your list. Hope you get it all that you need done. I've started baking some all ready. Getting in the mood. Lol. Hope you have a wonderful evening.
