Thursday Thirteen

Country Mouse

I don't know how to . . .

1. use a toll booth on a freeway.

2. use the subway.

3. dress like I am not a tourist.

4. hail a cab.

5. drive in more than four lanes of traffic.

6. use public buses.

I do know how to . . .

7. pull a calf from it's mother when it's having trouble being born.

8. fetch eggs from the henhouse.

9. start a fire with next to nothing.

10. drive a tractor.

11. bale hay.

12. plant a garden.

13. name wildflowers, trees, birds, and other wildlife.

Thursday Thirteen is played by lots of people; there is a list here if you want to read other Thursday Thirteens and/or play along. I've been playing for a while and this is my 404th time to do a list of 13 on a Thursday.

  2. I can do #1-6. Haven't done #7, 10, & 11. Working on those!

  3. I can do some of both. Used to ride the subways but can't now because of the way they changed it all to automated cards that you have to play like a slot machine. I'm from the simple days of coins to tokens. Never hailed a cab, but have called one.

  4. Isn't it interesting what our environment dictates we know how to do? Have done 1-6 (minus #5), but also 12 and 13. My T13

  5. I'm even more of a city slicker than I realized. Though I'm a bit shaky about most of it, I have done all the first section at one time or another. Although I've watched foals being born, I've never been allowed to jump in and help. I know the theory behind 8,10,and 11, but haven't done it. I've done 9 so many times it's ridiculous. I'm a little iffy about names, though I've been told more than often enough.

  6. You have a new header? I love it! Enjoyed your list. I can't do most of the things from either part! I'm a product of suburbia.

  7. When there is a giant disaster and we have to rebuild the world, I want to be in your group!
