The First Amendment: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances
I have to buy a business license to sell my writing - my life's work that kills no one. My CONSTITUTIONALLY guaranteed right to freedom of speech.
So why don't I have to buy a license to own a gun?
Just sayin'.
What business license for writing?
ReplyDeleteGuns are so dangerous; of course we should be licensed. We need gun control. Licensing, background checks, training, laws about how to keep them, ban assault rifles, etc. I don't see what's wrong with that. But the NRA has everybody brainwashed that the government is going to take their guns away because getting them all riled up is good for gun sales.
