New windows called for new window treatments.
These are the curtains that I had in the living room. Well, really they were just panels.
I never really liked them, because they had no color. They had been up for five years; they did the job.
When we went to Short Pump last weekend, I found curtains that I liked. Here they are:
A whole new look. Ta da.
Wow! Isn't it amazing how something like that can change the entire look of a room? I get Roanoke Valley Home magazine, and it has a section on window treatments this summer. I would love to put plantation shutters in my bedroom, but they are so expensive. Maybe if I sell the novel, *wink. Until then, I'll keep dreaming. I sure do like yours!
ReplyDeleteYour windows look great! Lots of color.
ReplyDeleteI am curtain shopping too after so many years with the same old curtains. It's quite a search, I'm finding out.
Very nice!
ReplyDeleteWow! It changes the way the light filters in and the entire look of the room. Very pretty.
ReplyDeleteThank you all! Lenora, it made a huge difference in the lighting. I am very happy with these new curtains.
ReplyDeleteAmy, I know you will sell that novel!
SF, I found curtain shopping to be quite an adventure, too. Hint: Different stores under the same brands carry different curtains in the store. Try different Lowe's and JCP.
I liked both window dressings, the latter has a lovely contrast though.
ReplyDeleteIt's surprising how the look of the room can change.
Love your new curtains! I had print draperies and I loved them, but couldn't find a print when I replaced them.
