Deer Wading Through Snow
The snow was belly-deep on the deer last week. In this series of shots, taken near dark when as the sun finally peeped out, show a doe attempting to cross the field in front of the house.
In the end, she took a final leap to reach less deep snow beneath the cedars and pines.
Pretty! I bet she had quite a challenge wading in snow that deep!
ReplyDeletePoor deer. This long, cold winter has been hard on so many creatures. We keep seeing wild turkeys at work. They've never come this close to the building as they keep doing this year.
