American Goldfinch





I had not seen these birds in my yard before. Some flowers I planted this spring seems to have attracted them. I think the one in the middle is a female.

  2. I have a lot of finches. I feed them throughout winter. They aren't as pretty in wintertime, though.

  5. We have had some goldfinches in the wildflower meadow and at the thistle feeders. Looks like these colorful little ones are enjoying sunflower seeds.

  6. Beautiful photos. I have seen some of these on my evening walks, but they are so elusive, I can never seem to get pics of them.
