Just Another Manic Monday
1. What is something you should throw away, but just can't bring yourself to part with?
A. My books. I have a lot of books on writing that I need to toss out. I haven't anywhere to put them except into the recycling bin, and I just can't bring myself to do that yet.
2. When you make yourself a sandwich, do you cut it on the diagonal, straight up the middle, or not at all?
A. I cut it in the middle.
3. What song or sound brings back memories of childhood?
A. A Bicycle Built for Two
4. Who is the first person you call when you have good news?
A. My husband. He's also the first person I call with bad news.
5. Have you ever set out on a walk in the rain?
A. I have. It was the only time I enjoyed walking around the city. The smell of the rain diminished the stink.
Thank you for playing! Please come back next week.

It wasn't until I was an adult that I heard the 2nd verse of that song:
ReplyDeleteMichael, Michael
Here is your answer true.
I'll not cycle
Over the world with you.
If you can't afford a carriage,
There won't be any marriage.
For I'll be switched
If I'll be hitched
On a bicycle built for two!

I just read your "about" . . . I don't think that I knew your name was Anita!! I, too, have too many books but didn't even think about those books when I was writing my answers. Now I have "Bicycle built for two" going round and round inside my head!! Hope you have a great Sunday afternoon!
ReplyDeleteI have walked in the rain and I also like the smell. I have a hard time parting with books too. I could never put them in the trash. The library collects books and sells them. I have found several books like that. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteIs Goodwill in your neighborhood? I've donated books there. What about your public library? Many local libraries have annual, fundraising book sales and yours could go to a good cause. (Can you tell I've been thinking about it?)
ReplyDeleteI donate my fiction books and newer nonfiction to the library for their book sales. These are books on writing that are old with outdated information (i.e., some don't even mention the Internet). I don't think they would sell.
