I noticed some similar patterns in a rye field down the road from me after last week's rain. I couldn't figure what caused them—it looked like large animals had wallowed in places. Thanks for clearing up the mystery.
I think it IS crop circles. Or a massive herd of deer taking a nap in the soft grass...
I noticed that too... didn't have my camera along and wish I had. Just plain weird, wasn't it?
