Measurable Snowfall

Our snow began around 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12, and continued until sometime after 3 p.m. on December 13, 2014. We received a total of 19 inches on the back deck.

At first it was just a few inches.

As daylight waned, I could see Mr. Gnome
as he stood guard.

When I got up at 6 a.m. this morning,
all I could see was the little tip
of Mr. Gnome's hat. Later in the day, even
that little tip was gone.

Snow piled up on the grill.

I plopped a ruler out when I got up;
it said 14 inches.

When all was said and done, we had about 19 inches. One of the largest
snowfalls in a 24-hour period that I can recall.

  3. Hopefully, the little gnome will be visible when the melting begins.

  4. Poor Mr. Gnome! We had one giant snowfall like that last year -- at least you're not in the city, with no place to push it all, LOL.
