Saturday Spectacular

Our weather has been very changeable - below zero temperatures last Tuesday, then warm in the 50s on Saturday. We had rain for much of the day on Saturday, but after it ended, Mother Nature gave us a spectacular show:

Not long after, as the sun went behind the mountains, the sky turned into fire!

  1. Lovely pictures! It took me three tries to successfully access your blog. The first time, the blog came in but was accompanied by weird music. I closed it and tried again. Got an error message. Third time worked—no music and no error messages. I'm using Safari as a browser, not IE.

  2. Beautiful!!! I wish I could have a nice sunrise/sunset view...too many trees. Well, there's really never too many trees :)

  3. That sunset was a treat after two days of downpour.

  5. It's always most beautiful or so it seems after the storm. We had similar weather all day on Tuesday and then a beautiful sunset.

  6. What a beautiful series of photos! The one positive that can be said of last week's polar vortex is that it brought us spectaular sunsets. Then we had dense fog last Friday as temps suddenly warmed up to around 40 and brought us dreary, overcast skies (gotta love that extreme -- a high of -9 with windchills -40 to -50 below on Monday, to 41 the following Sunday).
