Thursday Thirteen

Good grief, I don't know what I can do for Thursday Thirteen today!

How about what's on my desk? That's on my mind because the darned thing needs a good clearing off.

1. Tums, two bottles of nasal spray, and Rescue Remedy.

2. An empty bowl, a spoon, and an empty glass.

3. My evaluations from my most recent course I taught at the community college.

4. My Nikon Coolpix P500 and my Nikon Coolpix S3200 cameras.

5. A small pile of Fincastle Heralds, the local weekly newspaper that I sometimes write for.

6. A notebook listing the things I purchase online.

7. My journal.

8. A print-out from the 1902 edition of the Tazewell Republican.

9. Instructions for a video game.

10. Three ink pens (Pilot G-2 (05), I only use the extra fine) and a pencil.

11. A blank yellow tablet.

12. A Gateway netbook.

13. Binoculars.

Thursday Thirteen is played by lots of people; there is a list here. I've been playing for a while and this is my 289th time to do a list of 13 on a Thursday.

  2. Considering the state my desk is currently in, I could do my next five or six Thursday Thirteens listing objects on it - and not repeat anything. Eeep!

And hey! Coolpix cameras are awesome, aren't they? :D I have two of them, too - a Coolpix S8000 and an S4300. I love them!

  3. I think your desk's clutter makes you sound like the interesting person that you are, Anita. Alas, I'm afraid the dreadful clutter on my computer hutch simply makes me look demented. :-)

  4. Only three ink pens? I've got two cups full.

  5. My desk is almost clutter-free. The dining room table on the other hand...

  6. I started cleaning mine off last week (a mess!!) and I got stuck in the middle, so now it looks worse than before. How about 3 plastic frogs, a bottle of ginseng, a mug made by my son.

  7. Interesting list. Re that Pilot G2: I usta be a fine point kinda guy. Now that I'm aging I use a 0.7, and (more and more frequently) a 1.0

  8. my desk is a massive mess at the moment. your list reminds me of GK Chesterton, "Once I planned to write a book of poems entirely about the things in my pocket. But I found it would be too long; and the age of the great epics is past."

    My favorite pens.

  12. I suspect there's a story behind the binoculars. Right now, at this very moment, my desk is empty of just about everything because within the next three hours we're all moving offices.

  13. I need a bigger, better desk. Mine is a piece of.... No matter how many items I have on it.
