Snow Removal

The big snow of December 2009, which fell Friday night for a total of 20 inches, left a lot of white stuff laying around.

It took my husband an hour to make the 1/2 drive home, but once he got here he couldn't get up the driveway. The snow plow had miraculously been down our road but had piled the snow in the driveway.

So it took him another two hours to actually reach the house, and he had to do that with the big tractor.

The piles are as tall as I am!

  1. That dang snowplow guy who keeps blocking driveways haha...a nice neighbor came by and cleared our driveway for us and just as he was leaving, here comes the snowplow and made a big mountain in front of our driveway...thank goodness for the man who helped us out, he cleaned it right up...who was that masked man?!!!

  2. Looks like you could use a pair of 4' stilettos so you see over the tops of those piles. AND, you are not wearing snowboots. Didn't your mama teach you better ???? OR mittens!! GAH....

  4. After viewing pictures of your husband's tractor, my husband now wants a bigger tractor.

  5. I was about to ask the same thing- where is that coat? :) Snow is so pretty but it can be so frustrating to deal with. It's always much more fun when you don't have to go anywhere!

Maybe you'll have a white Christmas this year? It's supposed to rain here- ugh!

  7. We could have used that tractor to clear our driveway. We're just driving through snow until it melts. Of course, we only got half of what you got.

Hope you have a Merry Christmas!

  8. We had snow here, too---almost eighteen inches, and our electricity was out for five days. It was a bit grim, but we have power again, and we are thankful. It's nice to be online again---I missed my favorite blogs.

A very Merry Christmas to you and your husband, Anita! That is one fine tractor he has there. :-)
