Photo editing software

I am curious as to what photo-editing software folks are using, and why you like it.

I lost mine when I purchased a new computer in July; the old won't run on MS Vista.

Please post your recommendations in the comments!

  2. I have a Mac so really can't offer you any help on your decison... BUT, the programs I use are Photoshop Elements which I don't understand much. :-)) And my photos are downloaded into my iPhoto program from my camera and I tweak them a tiny bit there. When I want to design a header for my blog I use iWeb for the art stuff.... it's a weak program for artwork but as I said, I don't get Photoshop Elements it's too confusing.

  3. I used Photoshop Elements with my Mac when I used the Panther OS. Now that I have Leopard, my PE no longer works. I didn't use it much anyhow, because iPhoto lets me do a lot in the way of editing.

  4. Yup, GIMP or the online-based programs like Picnik.com or Google's Picasa. They're all free! One day i want Lightroom though....
