Holiday Lights

These light displays are all local to me. One is on Woodridge Road. The other is on Country Club Road, and the third is on Stoney Battery Road.

I shot these pictures Sunday night using a Nikon Coolpix 4600, which is a pocket camera I keep in the car for times when I don't have my other cameras with me. Some of the pictures are a little shaky because the car was running.

  1. You have to go over to Country Club road. There is a house about a mile and half maybe from Rt 220 at the first subdivision (?Somersby). They have an awesome display too!

  3. One of my favorite Christmas memories is driving around on Christmas Eve with Daddy, looking at all the lights. Little did we girls know how busy Mama was, finishing up last minute touches on presents and wrapping them up while Daddy happily occupied us!

  4. I do love the lights. In Richmond, where I grew up, they have an official "tacky tour" that is listed in the newspaper that lists many of the larger light displays. I don't worry about the "tacky" part, I just like to enjoy the wonder of all the lights, and that someone went to that much trouble for a few moments of my enjoyment during the season.

  6. Great photos! It takes a lot of work to put up that many lights just for the pure enjoyment of others.... gotta love those kind of people.
