More Autumn 2008

The photos I posted Sunday were actually taken in Craig County. It's a higher elevation and the trees turned more quickly there.

I took these pictures yesterday during a short walk on the farm. These better represent the colors where I live. I don't think they are quite as lovely as the trees in Craig but perhaps they will be in a few days.

  2. Those are gorgeous shots! You are so fortunate to live in a place like that and to have a big farm to wander about on. It is lovely.

  3. I think I need to take a road trip this weekend. The colors by me in SW County are nowhere as vibrant. In fact my oaks just turned brown. The only colors thus far are my dogwoods.

  5. Wow! What gorgeous shots. My leaves don't look like that at all. They went from green to brown without many in between colors.

  6. Question - what kind of camera are you using? You capture the colors wonderfully...

The answer to the two lights in my dark photo is two motorcycles. They just wouldn't move fast enough. Of course, those pictures were w/ and w/o a flash? Kind of odd how the colors pick up. =)

  8. Jen -
I use a Nikon D40; I also touched some of these shots up a little to brighten the colors.
